What's Out There? What's In Here?

By: Tony Griffies

We grow up asking so many questions. Often, the questions are innocent enough. For instance, ìwhy is the sky blue?î Sometimes even young minds try to ponder life's imponderables. ìWhat is time? What was there before time?î But what about these sorts of questions: ìWhy am I here?î ìWhy did God put me here?î What was He thinking when He made me?î Everyone wonders from time to time what his or her purpose is in life. It's natural to think aboutóeven wrestle withóthis line of questing. So where do you turn for the answers?

"Unless you assume a God, the question of life's purpose is meaningless."
- Bertrand Russel,
British phiosopher and atheist

If you look out there, in the world, you're liable to come up with all sorts of answers. The variety of answers can leave you overwhelmed and more confused than you already were. There is another place to look. It's in here, in the place the Word of God is searched. Only in God do we all find meaning and purpose to our lives.
